After doing some Romanising, I think it's Māori¹, but it would be nice to have confirmation.

You're correct. The full schema, if you're interested:

a i u e o - ア イ ウ エ オ
ka ki ku ke ko - カ キ ク ケ コ
nga ngi ngu nge ngo - カ゚ キ゚ ク゚ ケ゚ コ゚1
ta ti tu te to - タ ティ トゥ テ ト
na ni nu ne no - ナ ニ ヌ ネ ノ
ha hi hu he ho - ハ ヒ ホゥ ヘ ホ
wha whi whu whe who - ファ フィ フ フェ フォ
pa pi pu pe po - パ ピ プ ペ ポ
ma mi mu me mo - マ ミ ム メ モ
ra ri ru re ro - ラ リ ル レ ロ
wa wi wu we wo - ワ ヰ ウゥ ヱ ヲ

1 Half-voiced <k> is "[s]ometimes used in Japanese linguistics to transcribe the bidakuon [ŋ] initial" per Wikipedia.

It doesn't on my device, but there's no precomposed character for half-voiced k in Unicode.

Likely a font issue. U+390A COMBINING KATAKANA-HIRAGANA SEMI-VOICED SOUND MARK shouldn't render as a spacing character. What font does your PC setup use to render Japanese text?

I've attempted to make a relatively realistic Germanic orthography, including some quirks. Please forgive any errors based on incorrect or missed etymologising.

/m n ŋ/ ⟨m n ng⟩
/p b t d k g/ ⟨p b t d k/ck¹ g⟩
/f s ʃ x h/ ⟨f s/z² sch ch h⟩
/v z/ ⟨v s⟩
/w r l j/ ⟨w r l j/i³⟩

/ɪ ʏ ʊ/ ⟨i ü u⟩
/ɛ œ ɔ ə/ ⟨e⁴ ö o e⟩
/a/ ⟨a⟩
/iː yː uː/ ⟨i ü u⟩ ⟨ie üe uu⟩
/eː øː oː/ ⟨e/ä⁵ ö o⟩ ⟨ee/äe⁵ öe oo⟩
/æː ɑː/ ⟨ae/ia⁷ a⟩ ⟨ae/iaa⁷ aa⟩
/ai œy ɑu/ ⟨ey öy au⟩

Vowel length is indicated using a relatively standard Germanic consonant/vowel doubling mechanism. Having written all the words, I think the rules are the following:
  • Inflectional /-t/ and /-s/ are always ignored for the following rules
  • The multigraphs ⟨ng sch ch⟩ are considered already doubled, and the vowel before is considered as in a closed syllable
  • All consonants are doubled intervocalically after a short vowel
  • No consonants are ever doubled after a long vowel, diphthong, schwa, or other unstressed vowel, or in a cluster
  • ⟨m n l p t k s⟩ are doubled at the end of a word after a short consonant.
  • Long ⟨ä ö ü i⟩ are doubled in all closed syllables, and word finally.
  • Other long vowels are doubled in closed syllables before a resonant or ⟨s⟩, as well as before ⟨p t k⟩ except in regular verbs where the vowel alternates with an open syllable version.
  • /deː/ is additionally spelled ⟨däe⟩ to avoid confusion with ⟨de⟩ /də/
This does leave some vowel lengths technically ambiguous.

/æːn twæː triː fjæːr fiːf sɛks seːvən axt nyːn tain/ ⟨Aen, twae, trie, fiaar, fief, seks, seven, acht, nüen, teyn.⟩
/ɔtərs kʊnə swiːd snɛl swɪmə, mɑːr kʊnə hjæː an land snɛləɾ as ən mɛnʃ loːpə?/ ⟨Otters kunne swied snell swimme, maar kunne hia an land sneller as mensch lope?⟩
/də sʊn ʃiːnt hyːd, gɪstər ʃæːn hyː neːt/ ⟨De sunn schient hüed, gister schaen hüe neet.⟩
/da lʏtə myːs sɪnd ʊndər dət bɛd/ ⟨De lütte mües sind under det bed.⟩
/də tjæːf stɑːl dət broːd, də keːs ɛnd də wiːn/ ⟨De tiaf staal det brod, de, de kees end de wien.⟩
/hʊk tjæːf? deː ɔf deː?/ ⟨Huck tiaef? Däe of däe?⟩
/dət iːs ɪs tʏn/ ⟨Det ies is tünn.⟩
/dət wɑːtər ɪs djæːp/ ⟨Det water is diaap.⟩
/dɪt huːs ɪs ɔld, dat huːs ɪs nyː/ ⟨Dit huus is old, dat huus is nüe.⟩
/dɪs gɑuːs ɪs wiːt, dyː gɑus ɪs græː/ ⟨Dis gaus is wiet, düe gaus is grae.⟩
/dɪs apəl ɪs grœyn, deː apəl ɪs roːd/ ⟨Dis appel is gröyn, däe appel is rod.⟩
/deːzə bœyk sɪnd miːn, dæː bœyk sɪnd diːn/ ⟨Dese böyk sind mien, dae böyk sind dien.⟩
/mɑːkə wiː hɪt nuː, ɑudərs mɑːk ɪk hɪt sʊnər diː/ ⟨Make wie hit (wie't) nu, auders mak ik hit sunner die.⟩
/dat hɑːt spɑːs mɑːkt/ ⟨Dat haat spaaz makt.⟩
/wiː høːr diː, høːrs duː uːs?/ ⟨Wie höer die, höers du uus?⟩

¹ When doubled
² ⟨z⟩ is used for a single /z/ intervocalically after a long vowel or diphthong, where single ⟨s⟩ would be read as /z/, as well as for word-final /s/ after a long vowel, where it alternates with /z/
³ After a consonant
⁴ Outside initial syllables, and also possibly to distinguish some single-syllable homophones
⁵ Used when it alternates with /æː ɑː/⁶
⁶ If I read your sentences right
⁷ /jæː/ is ⟨ia(a)⟩ after a consonant. /jɑː/ is ⟨ja(a)⟩ is all circumstances
