Other-way English make-speak
Other-way English make-speak
This thread reminded me of a question which crossed my mind recently. I'm sure it's been asked before, but if it hasn't, here it is: Has anyone tried to do a conlang which is what English might have become without French or (much) Norse influence? Obviously there are a number of ways it could go; it would probably resemble Scots or northern dialectal varieties of English.

I know Justin B Rye made one, and I'm sure a quick trawl of something like reddit will find you any number of ones of varying quality, but I don't think I have the strength.alice wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2026 2:33 pm This thread reminded me of a question which crossed my mind recently. Didn't a previous member of this forum make a non-Normanized Anglolang spoken in Wessex?
