I had to go on a bit of a roundabout path of recovering one email account in order to recover the account this one is linked to! I hadn't realized the former was even recoverable at this point but I'm grateful it was (not least because the email drafts folder is absolutely full of old conlanging!).

Oddly enough the dentist did not find anything wrong with my tooth. Since the pain and swelling seem to have peaked several days ago anyway, I feel content to file this among my many alarming health problems that appear out of nowhere and then just vanish.

Broad question! Life has been a lot lately but is pretty good right now.

I've been thinking about just how long I've been a member of this forum. I joined when I was sixteen (or possibly seventeen at the very latest). I am now 36. I am an entirely different person from the bright but neglected and badly traumatized teenager I was when I first came here, and this forum may have been a small part of it but has somehow been one of the most stable things in my life. I remember you being kind to me way back when I first joined and want to say thank you.

Aw, thank you too! I'm so glad to hear you're good; I do remember you having a lot to cope with all the way back then. Are you still in Japan?
