Bahahahahaha! Yeah, you and AI are a match made in heaven, you both like spewing meaningless gibberish.
But really. I don't like it that the firehose of falsehood is demonstrated live in this forum.
Of course, there is a major difference between Talskubilos and AIs: Talskubilos is sometimes amusing, AIs never are

WeepingElf: Oh, I found some reports about the "adventures" of some "AIs" somewhat amusing. Like that time an "AI" sent tourists asking for restaurant recommendations to a food bank serving poor people. Or that time an "AI" supposedly designed to answer questions about fire safety didn't know the phone number of the fire department.

From the "truth stranger than fiction" department, by way of the
Irish Times:
https://www.irishtimes.com/crime-law/20 ... t-killing/
Swedish man killed in Limerick crash was on his way to carry out contract killing
Gardaí [Irish cops]
believe two Swedish men were on their way to carry out a feud-related murder in the Munster region when they went the wrong way in their car and caused a fatal crash as they attempted to turn around.
Wrong thread?
No. This wasn't meant as a Confusing Headlines thing. I don't find the headline in any way confusing. I just thought it might be interesting as a kind of general purpose "News of the weird"-kind of story. So I put it in the random thread.

My kid seems to be going through a glossolalia(?) phase, making up random "words" and just chattering to herself. Hopefully this bodes well for her becoming a second generation conlanger. I've noticed that she seems to like the consonant /g/, CV syllables, and the 5 common vowels /a e i o u/ with special preference for /a i o/. Something she didn't pick up from English is geminate consonants!

Well, the dialect of English here at least
has geminate consonants. (E.g.
vodka [ˈvaːkːə(ː)],
pizza [ˈpʰiʔtːsə(ː)],
problem [ˈpʰʁ̥ˤɑːmː])

Oh, found another word with a geminate in it that cannot be chalked up to cluster reduction ─ mozzarella [ˌmaʔtːs{əː,ʁ̩ˤː}ˈʁˤɜːɰə(ː)].

I used to do that too, except that I kept quiet about it. If I'd had an eye on posterity I'd have saved the results and let the ZBB loose on them. There might have been some very interesting phonetic or phonemic analysis in there.
Maybe it's relevant that one of my earlier conlangs had verbal conjugations in each of /a i o/? Or certain IALs use the same vowels to indicate verb tenses?

Blood oranges are good. Blood orange juice is good. Blood orange ice cream is good. Various other things derived from blood oranges are probably good, too.
That is all.

Good, so she has a good prognosis it sounds like?

Well then, I should try them myself. It occurs to me that I have not tried many citrus fruits besides regular oranges.

@malloc: blood oranges are much nicer than normal oranges.

It turns out that I have a dental checkup this week, which does at least mean I won't have to wait too long to get this problem addressed. If it had cropped up at another time, I might have had to wait weeks or more. Even so, I am not looking forward to the painful surgery or expensive bill.

Good luck. Hopefully the dentist will be able to help advise you on next steps.
