Bringing Together some of my Ideas: A Semi-Utopian Future Earth
Re: A post nuclear conworld - decades and centuries afterwards
A critique but your whole NAB (Not a Business) thing seems like it would just lead to endless pump and dump schemes amongst businesses completely killing their ability to build any sort of long term stable product i doubt the same people who create bubbles which crash would be happy to make a great company then just hand it off to the workers so for it to work you are considering a dramatic shift in social ethics. Also public owned company is just codeword for shareholders who need that sweet, sweet, sweet infinite growth which often leads to enshittification.

I assume that this was meant to be in my thread. First, by public, I don't mean shareholders, I mean the public authorities. Since there wouldn't be a stock market, there wouldn't be stock market bubbles, either. Since NABs wouldn't have private owners or investors, there would be no pressure for infinite growth.foxcatdog wrote: ↑Mon Jun 23, 2025 12:36 am A critique but your whole NAB (Not a Business) thing seems like it would just lead to endless pump and dump schemes amongst businesses completely killing their ability to build any sort of long term stable product i doubt the same people who create bubbles which crash would be happy to make a great company then just hand it off to the workers so for it to work you are considering a dramatic shift in social ethics. OK, thank you very much to zompist and Arzena for translating a slogan. Here are the flag and the logo of the Institutions of the United Earth in this scenario. Except that, in the scenario, in-universe, the actual design would have been done by some of the planet's most sought-after graphic designers at the time these symbols were adapted, and the writing would have been done by professional calligraphers, so while the basic idea would be the same as you can see here, of course the execution would be better:

Interesting design overall. On the left, the kaf looks a little close to the zì.

Yes, as I said, I'm not a graphic designer.
