Americans don't seem to make many distinctions between sub-Saharan African countries, and treat them largely interchangeably, which is rather unfortunate.

Americans seem to be more aware of the differences between European countries than sub-Saharan African countries, especially if one excludes South Africa from consideration.

Ask the average American to name some languages spoken in Europe versus some languages spoken in sub-Saharan Africa. They'll almost certainly be able to name more of the former than the latter.

Ina Sajiwan, im dirayf ota bahp "muf" ("sta ste de oda yah") an aftaset "a" ("wan im mek").
In Sajiwan, it derives from the verb "muf" ("start living in another place") and suffix "a" ("one who does").
