I never said (i.e., forgot to say) that I wrote this post.
But if of ships I now should sing, what ship would come to me?
What ship would bear me ever back across so wide a Sea?

Nothing ever ends! And have you read a full grammar of English? You'd never finish writing it...

(it is not nothing under heaven that closes! and also, have you read a full grammar of the English? Not under heaven is it not, that writing it would close)

Life has limits. Knowledge has no limits. To use what has limits to seek what has no limits is danger.

On the contrary, science is specifically developed as a way to understand the limitless with the limited power of our senses and brain.

Any man's life must come to an end.
aithscepi bretha mainn: cealtha biath, ādi ne spriec; wera nu biath, ādi nu ne criap; gamhelō biath, ādi ne gaing, ne cuithi nā wieht, ne cuaddeth herō sunu, ādi ne gaman nā wieht; ādi nu earth biath, ādi ne gaman, ne spriec, min cuacōth ūder uuirmm, ūder matha, ādi wierp upp frōilēcen sprotenn. than midi mannom hāt ēna bretha gaslodena, than mainn ne māra ne aithcnē aba brethē hit; min thar libn dualōth, huar mainn ne lōcōth at.
The life of a man changes shape: he is a baby, and does not talk; now he is a man, and now he does not crawl; now he is an old man, and he does not walk, he says nothing, he does not greet his son, and he remembers nothing; and now he is soil, and he does not remember, nor talk, but he trembles with (/among/under) worms/snakes and bugs, and throws up fresh new shoots. A life is called over by men, when men no longer recognise it as a life; but living continues there where men do not look.

min talt iec sāthē aba conlanging...

No, apparently we must all write what masako wants to read.

So much for the idea of participating in this thread...

Thanks to Syriac, I may undertake to speak of philosophy.

The Phoenicians prefer to speak of theology. Me, too.

You don't like that, which he said, then argue him. It benefits your constructed language.
If you don't like what he said, then argue with him. It will be good for your conlang.

Pai he, vasra koi* ua min gotto sinnu.
Also, your poem/story* is very wise.
Also, what you said ("aithscepi bretha mainn ...") is very wise.

* Not exactly a 'poem' as we know it. But, unlike a ves or fuga, it doesn't relate events or a story, and is 'philosophical/religious' (ancirnu) in nature.
* I'm not sure what to call it in English either.
