Honestly, budgeting's not hard when you're still *touches wood* gainfully employed and not spending money anywhere but the grocery store.

Speaking of money and finances, I have a little bit of stock from my grandparents that I'd all but forgotten about and I finally dug out some documents and linked the accounts so now I can see all of my investments in one place. I know I should probably just consolidate them into my regular retirement account, but they're both down about half from their peaks and I don't know whether it's more advantageous to sell them now (for tax purposes, to offset gains) or to hold on to them in the hopes that they go up in value again and I can sell high. All in all, though, it's a good problem to have.

I just recently installed Ubuntu on my old computer and set it up in my room. One advantage I didn't even consider is that I now have a place to record using my mic again!

EDIT: Less than four hours after I've started using my mic again, someone is using a clip of me in a podcast! :D

I have been made aware of a band called “King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard”. I’d heard only one of their songs before, to wit “Rattlesnake”, but they have some really great stuff. And they sound phenomenal in a live setting if the KEXP sessions are anything to go by.

I know I've announced it in the tech thread, but the sheer satisfaction of putting out a release of zeptoforth with working STM32F746 support after about two months of work makes me really happy.

I’ve just discovered them in the past few months, too! They’re EXCELLENT. There’s a few KEXP sessions of them, which are indeed phenomenal.

My band has released its first album!

It contains six instrumental pieces in a style somewhere between post-rock, post-metal, progressive, and alternative. Maybe some of you might like our music... (I definitely do, but I'm of course biased ;) )

Self-referential signatures are for people too boring to come up with more interesting alternatives.
