Re: Akiatu scratchpad (subject control; "mwi")
Your question particle is too long, I think. It tends to be contracted to something like hai. But overall, it looks interesting. Not on phonology, but on grammar.

It seems that there is no language that has syllable-final clicks, let alone clicks in a word without vowel.

Re: Things Decided for Stupid Reasons
Not mine, but David J. Peterson has remarked that if he's working on a language where, for whatever reason, he has decided the orthographic representation of long vowels will be a doubled vowel letter, then that language can never have long /e/ and long /o/ - he always gets rid of them by dipthongi...

Re: fúk scratchpad
Where is the vowel? there are no vowels. That would be extremely unnatural. Just add the vowel Also why you analyze the geminated consonant as separate consonant? i'm not sure what you mean by this After reading more carefully. It turns out you treat a gemination as intrinsic property of a consonan...

Where is the vowel? Also why you analyze the geminated consonant as separate consonant? And your possessive and conjunction system is too ambiguous.

Additional question I forgot:
1. Where is the stress placed? Does your language drops schwa in some environment?
2. What happened if upstep and downstep is placed on the same syllable?

Why is /ŋ/ uncommon in natlangs? Even when it exists, why is it usually syllable final? /ŋ/ is easy to pronounce and fills the gap in velar consonant This probably comes down to acoustics and ease of articulation. We also see that in languages with ejectives, bilabial ones are more likely to be abs...

The vowel inventory seems overkill for me. Not even the monster of vowel inventory, the Germanic languages, have that fine of height/length contrasts. A language with this many vowel usually have front rounded vowel or nasalization, or modality contrasts. I suggest you to shift the height contrast t...

Also is there any language that diphthongize vowel at closed syllable before finally losing it. For example:

Since I am not a native English speaker, I have difficulty between /æ/ and /ɛ/. To make the sound more distinct, I pronounce /æ/ as /ɛ˷/. The similiar things happen for /ɪ˷/ and /ʊ˷/, except it is also pronounced shorter than /i/ and /u/. Now the contrast is on voicing on vowel, that can be pronounc...
