An understandable question!

Meno ha lo alo verbo una sola silábula met lo accento primario, ergo háven li elementi nonultimi en verbi compositi li accenti secondarii en las silábulas quèlas li accenti primarii háven se sono elas verbi independenti.
But each word only has one syllable with primary stress, so in compounds the non-final elements take secondary stress on the syllables that would have primary stress if they were independent.
